Instructions

  • Step-by-Step Instructions for Perfect Assembly
  • Making the chocolate ripple cake is easy and fun. Begin by whipping heavy cream with icing sugar and vanilla until it's fluffy. This whipped cream will hold your dessert together.
  • Preparing the Whipped Cream Mixture
  • In a big bowl, mix 2 cups of heavy cream, 1/3 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Use a mixer to whip it until it's stiff, about 3-5 minutes. Don't overbeat it, or it will turn into butter.
  • Layering Technique for the Perfect Log Shape
  • To make the ripple cake, stack 5 Oreo Thins with whipped cream in between. Place the stacks on a cream-lined platter to form a log. Make sure the layers are tight for a solid shape.
  • Setting and Chilling Guidelines
  • After assembling, cover the cake with the rest of the whipped cream. Chill it for at least 3 hours for a crunchy texture. For a softer cake, chill it for 8 hours or overnight.
  • For a quicker version, crush the Oreo Thins into crumbs. Mix them with the whipped cream and press into a mold. Chill as before for a no-bake treat.
